Ride quality will go out of the window, the ulta low profile tires required will have almost no sidewall flexibility the original suspension was designed to live with, run over a coin and you could probably tell if it was heads or tails!.
Great for grip if the rest of the suspension is set up to go with your wheel /tire combo; not so good for tire life, disaster for ride quality IMO.
If you intend the car to be a daily driver i suggest you go for something less radical.

ride quality is really not that bad on 20s, will you feel it yes but if you are going from stock wheels the difference will be sooooooo much better. in MY opinion 20s are teh biggest i would go on a g body sacraficing a "little" handling and ride quality for looks but your car has gotta look sick :) 18s are best of all worlds though
