Anyone has photos of 295/50's being run on their cars? Im still on a long search for wheels and tires, and cant decide. If anyone is running them post up some pics with b.s. info. Thanks.

I have 295/55R15 mickey Thompson drag radials on right now with 15 x 8.5 rim with a 5" backspace and I notched the rear frame to tuck them in.
I don't have new pictures with these but they can be seen in my video below.

I used to have 295/65R15 M/T on the same rims (pictured below) but it gave the car too much "rake" for my taste so I went with the shorter 295/55R15.

Wow, thats awesome. Your car is a beast, looks great. So the frame is notched and doesnt require spacers?

That Monte Carlo gets me a little moist every time I see it.....LOL

Oh, back to the subject.
Which G body are you looking to put these tires on?
the wheel wells are shaped a little different and some (like a Cutlass) require a little more effort to get that size tire tucked up under it.

Ive been struggling whether I want 15 or 17 inch wheels. So when a bargain comes along I seriously consider it. A pair of brand new 295/50 rwl tires for less than half for what they go new have surfaced. They would go on a 79 GP, 15x8 rim with 3.75 bs

Thanks, I notched the rear frame so it was flush with the inner wheelwell .
I don't use spacers or adapters, I always do mock ups and buy rims to fit the car instead of trying to fit the car to the rims.
I personally think 17" is as big as I would go on a Gbody I think beyond that size with a few exceptions they take away from the rest of the car.
I've looked into 17" myself but because of using a frontrunner it would be hard to find a tall enough tire for the front.

My sister-in-laws 79 malibu has them on it, on a 15x8 rally wheel, and rolled fender lips. No pictures though.

Thanks guys. they look awesome. So a 3.75 to 4.00 bs works well with this tire size.
