You wont need a computer just a lock up switch for the converter.

update: i got the 700r4 from the 93 roadmaster in. Can someone tell me does the top transmission cooler line coming from the radiator go to the top cooling line port on the transmission. And the bottom cooling line port on the radiator goes to the lower cooling line port on the transmission

Before everyone tells you to just get a 350. a 305 can be just fine...

Before I decided on a 305, I was considering a 350 for the extra power... Then I read that exact article and it solidified my decision on a 305... 😀

Rather informative and does address most, if not all of the motor's weaknessesconsitereing. It's perfect for my GP build.

I would like it if you could post updates and maybe some numbers if you get it dynoed. Lets us know your HP, Torque and MPG and 1/4 mile. Some of us who are moving to CA for work want to learn to keep our cars smog legal. Sure, I can trick them into allowing a 350 in a 305, but it is just so much cooler and HARDER to keep it legal AND trick it out!

I plan to but I'll have it in the vehicle when I do. I'm aiming for 275 to 300HP but trying to maintain over 25 MPG. I'm not doing any dragging so my 1/4 mile will not be the best. I'm certain a good MPFI system will be needed to get close, much less obtain those numbers.
Here in GA, cars 25 years or older are exempt from emissions standards. I can do what I want..

All you need are springs for any GBody for a V8. Summit sells springs for our cars between 60 to 80 bucks a pair.
