Can yall tell me how can i make a brake booster line or can i buy an after market line that screws to the back of my carb

You can use one of the prots on your intake manifold......grab a 90 degree fitting and clamp your hose to that..Or check the carb, there may be a port on the rear of the carb that was blocked off..Hope this helps.....As far as the TV Cable bracket and throttle bracket check out Jegs, that's where I got mine from.... 8)
 
well i tried to take my car for a test drive today i couldnt get the the transmission to shift.the trans goes to reverse and drive pretty strong...any ideas y the trans wont shift to 2nd,3rd,n 4th??? the trans didn't have a vaccuum line
 
Make sure the TV cable is set up right cuz if it isn't you'll cook that transmission......Below is a pic of what it should look like, or somewhat like that anyways.... This is with the set up on a Holley carb with the Jegs brand throttle /TV linkage bracket and the TV geometry corrector.

The jegs throtte/tv bracket came in today. I installed it and adjusted the tv cable by holding the tab and sliding the tv cable all the way back and pressin the trottle a few times. Went for a ride still no shifting but the trans seem strong. I paid 500 for both 305 n 700r he said both were good. how much would it maybe cost a transmission shop to rebuild a early 80's 700r. Also im wondering should i go ahead and change to v8 springs then have the car haul to get transmission did. the motor seems pretty strong smokes just a lil out the left tail pipe but stops sometimes. I havnt changed the oil in the motor i just seen it was some oil in it and ran it. im going to try some 1040 and some lucas oil . the motor is pretty quiet.
 
Does it shift normally when in drive or is it causing problems with manual shifts??? The early 80's 700r4 were the weaker ones that had the 27 spline...compared to the I think '84-93 ones with the 30 spline...... Your shifter linkage might also be your culprit.... 8)
 
I assume the car is in drive when i try to drive it it stays in first gear even at wot. when the car is in park i am shifting the trans down 3 times the shift will not go down anymore...i might just go with a column shift and solve all the problems...ii can shift with the console shift but i cant shift from drive to netural and so one i have to pull the arm up under the hood to put the car in park...
 
i dont think im able to put it in drive im putting it in od because of console shift cant go down anymore. IS the transmission order park-reverse-neutral-overdrive-drive-and so. if so im shifting down three times which means im putting it in the od position
