307 to 403 OLDS

Ok real quick

The stock timing pointer from a 307 wont work with a 403.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P/N 419048. Also found on 403 and 350 engines back in the 70s....as well as several others.
 
Although, in 1979, a 350R or 403 NOT in an F body would use p/n 550411. Weird.

If you have an old 455 or 350 or 307 big balancer (p/n 417142) , you can use the 419048. I know the 048 is plastic. Not sure about he 550411. It may be metal.
 
Oh and do you have any ones that will work in your magic pile of goodies?
 
You got the one I had

Thats the one I was using it wont work. The 307 balancer is smaller. So it hits the 403 one
