I have read many times that Oldsmobiles like a dual pattern cam.I'm just not a fan of single pattern cams.
My 214/214 cam pulled great with a 2300 stall, 1/4 block burn outs, felt stronger than the 204/214 cam. Going back to the TH350 and a 1700 stall is blah. The first gear does make a bit of a difference, had 2500 stall as well. The 204/214 cam launched fine with the 1900 stall D9 2004R converter. The 2400 stall worked OK with my otherwise stock 403 with the 204/214 cam but may have shot past the power band. The Elgin and Lunati version of the 204/214 cam show a 112 LSA vs 114 LSA for the Edelbrock and maybe the Melling 204/214 which I have also ran.I have read many times that Oldsmobiles like a dual pattern cam.
