I don't see why ppl keep telling you to get rid of the 650 carb...there's no reason this wont work well for you. i've run well into the 12's with a 650DP

I disagree with this completely. Are you saying that whatever car you got well into the 12's with would not have run faster with a 750? I highly doubt it.

Why would you go smaller than what the factory put on there (750 q-jet minimum, most q-jets were as much as 795)? Id go with a Q-jet before I went to a 650 any day (even a DP). Cant layer it on too thick though, because judging by your signature youve been much quicker than ive been. Ill leave it at that.

Teezy;
Qjets are a "set it an forget it" type carb, but they perform. I prefer Holleys. but as little as 2*C and 7% relative humidity change can throw the tune out the window for a Holley. If youre willing to tinker with it, the Holley is the more consistent carb. But the Q-jet if tuned properly can run with it all day long.

If youre buying a Q-jet, get a BOP version, the fuel line points forward not to the side. Summit sells remanned versions, ive bought one, they are a nice piece.

I never said it wouldn't go faster with a 750 just not to under estimate what can be had from a 650

Qjets are great carbs but comparing a qjet to a holley DP are like comparing apples to oranges

lol so which one you think is a better street carb?

Q-jet, a vacuum secondary carb will be better suited for the street. You'll lose some mileage with the mechanical secondaries if you go with a dp. They really are apples and oranges.

Alright, thanks it look difficult to adjust anyway :|

Both are really pretty easy to adjust and tune, as long as you understand how they work. Each one is a little different.

With the q-jet u think my car will have a little street respect
