Only $50k? Even with the exchange rate that's about 30 Pontiac Vibes. Granted, total HP/dollar is about even.
A lot of car for the money, something you can drive all year round with decent performance and very good MPG for 4100 pounds. A similar truck, add 25K easy.

New Standard and Dorman Grommets. I also got a new one to replace the Grommet in the air cleaner where the breather tube goes in, it is cracked.

Machine shop called, they asked me what brand my cam bearings were. I said Clevite, he said we need to know to find them, they are somewhere in back🙄. We will see come Friday, if I get a machined block.

Welcome to the world of stock engine rebuilds. If there happened to be another olds being built before you and the parts were there, Its very common for the shop to take parts like that for one build with a note to buy them for when the next one gets done.

It sounds about right, I don't care what brand gets put in as long as they are correct for my Olds 350 block.
