Re: Build Thread, What I've done so far

A 200-4R crossmember won't work.
It may have the same overall length of the TH-350, but the mounting point is in a different spot.
There are only two G-body crossmembers for automatics. I'm not sure if the manual cars are different or not.
One for the THM200 and TH250/TH350.
One for the 200-4R.

Re: Build Thread, What I've done so far

The one in my '81 had a centered mount with a TH350, swapped a Saginaw 3- and 4-speed in without changing a thing (same driveshaft and crossmember). I wouldn't be surprised if T10s and Muncies are the same dimensions. The crossmember on my '78 has a slightly offset pad for the trans mount (~3"), and it came with a v6, whether or not that made a difference I'm not sure.

Car looks good clean work. Have you thought about a molded upper rad hose. I think they look cleaner. Good luck with the rest of your build.

I'm on my fourth ignition module, i think what it was, was i folded back the constant 12v to the cap on itself and pinched it and stuffed it into the convoluted tubing instead of cutting it to shorten it. That would cause a slight variation in voltage, which modules don't like lol. beginners mistake.

Gotta figure out my exhaust now... it frustrates me that the headers point in such a funky direction... oh well

Re: Build Thread, What I've done so far

I think I'm gonna hold on to 'em for now. I don't really know of any others like them around the area, plus i might be able to get them chromed sometime down the road. I think it would be cool to have a chrome factory look.
