good point i guess i never really thought of that. i'll probably just find a cheap pair of descent tires on CL then.

I was bored today and i had an idea for throttle return spring bracket. i didn't think we had thick enough gauge metal at the house but i found a blank receptacle cover that will probably do the trick.

Sweet idea with the Olds logo cut out. Awesome.

Got some progress tonight already on the diff swap.

got the driveshaft out, springs out and shocks unbolted. got the lower control arm bolts out of the differential end.

had some leftover bedliner form the jeep. coated the new diff and a light coat on the driveshaft. i actually want to do the whole underside of the car with that, maybe sometime this summer.

just have to disconnect brake lines, figure out how to disconnect the e-brake cable and upper control arm bolts.

getting close and the weekend isnt even here yet!!

well autozone doesn't carry control arm bushings for the most popular car of the 80's. so i have to wait till tomorrow to put the new diff. in. they gave me the wrong u joints too....

i also found out i had some cash in my paypal account i forgot about, so i ordered up a driveshaft safety loop for myself

thanks man! its been a long time comin.

got the brakes back together tonight and its back on the ground again. just have to touch up the paint on the diff and swaybar, bleed brakes and get the correct ujoints from the parts store. the d.s. loop should be here pretty soon.

Nice score dude! I think that my RedTop(s) where something like +$200 each! I have them in all three of our cars -- great battery!
