Still unsure what to put on the air cleaner. I think she looks pretty good, definitely different from the chrome  8)

Re: 3xbrowncutty's Build: New Look!!

that looks absolutely amazing! I for one am a huge supporter of non-chrome, so I think this looks fantastic!
... if I had to complain, I'd say you should have kept the bolts silver, gotten a simpler wingnut or nut for the aircleaner. And I don't think you should put anything on the aircleaner lid.

I love the look here... black pullys and brackets, with matt covers. I might try this for my L98 valve covers.

Re: 3xbrowncutty's Build: New Look!!

Looks good. I think I would leave the air cleaner alone. Less is more.

Re: 3xbrowncutty's Build: New Look!!

Those valve covers are frig'n awesome! Maybe you could do some work on my cars. ;-) J/K

Re: 3xbrowncutty's Build: New Look!!

thanks guys. i'm still not sure on the air cleaner but i do think it looks pretty good just plain with the topper thats on it now.

That lid was a freebie from a buddy. it had a summit logo stamped into it (which i didnt like) so i decided to try my hand at smoothing it out. I think it looks pretty damn good for a beginner 😀 Used to be one of these:

Re: 3xbrowncutty's Build: New Look!!

wow, how did you smooth it out? it looks seemless

Re: 3xbrowncutty's Build: New Look!!

used a hammer and dolly to flatten it out the best i could. From there just knocked down the high spots with the hammer. put a skim coat of filler over it and DA'd it down  i figure it shouldnt get hot enough to crack it

Re: 3xbrowncutty's Build: New Look!!
