Seeing that's for a Buick, maybe give a shot at peeking in some trunks at the yard? I'm not sure if any G-Bodies came stock with trunk carpet. The "carpet" in mine was more of a mat

Thanks!! As a matter of fact, I got the carpet from wal-mart  .

I would say you need three rolls. I have done everything but the spare tire thing with two rolls, and a pretty descent sized piece left. I think it matches very well, I wouldnt've done it if the carpet didn't match well.

85CB-do you have any pics of the factory option with the wood covering the spare tire well? I've seen the other cardboard thing. The wood thing sounds like what I want to do.

It is basically want the G body parts kit looks like. I have never seen one in the wild though as most trunks in G bodies have not had trunks that have not been through a war. What kind of glue did you use to put it in place?

how did you attach the carpet? my trunk needs something that's for sure,

did normal g-bodys come with it or just the upscale gbodies? of the three that i have none of them have trunk carpet

I think it was optional on a lot of G bodies, and came only on some of the higher models as standard in certain years. I don't think it was a popular option when the cars were new as I have probably looked at hundreds of G bodies in junkyards and have only seen a handful with the nice trunk option. I know that mine basically came with some thin black carpet and a black painted piece of cardboard on one side stock. The only ones I have ever seen with the nice trunk were a Grand Prix and maybe a Regal Limited or Grand National. Even then, it was basically some carpet glued to the metal surfaces of the wheel tubs and taillight panel with 2 or 3 cardboard panels covered with carpet to finish it off. It's not hard to duplicate it.

My regal has the nice trunk liner with carpet sides and the piece that goes against the seat and the speaker box covers..I think there was a cover for the spare too.

I just used hot glue. Probably not the best thing to use, but it works

good news gentelmen, My parents ok'd a 350 swap!!

My buddy has a TBI 350 out of his '86 chevy truck. He has the intake manifold and hei distributor for it, vortec heads, and a few other things. All it needs is a bearing kit, gaskets, valve seals, piston rings, and a mechanical fuel pump, and I need a 4 barrel carb. He offered to help me put it back together and get it in my car.
