i gotcha. i was just so excited to find one so clean inside and with the 32 spline output. now i can use my th400 driveshaft. also i am really stumped on what to do with the whole shifter thing. i dont know which style is best. straight angled etc, and how much haha. it seems t me the shifter will come through the tunnel just in front of the bucket. lord have mercy i am so stumped.

It's not hurting anything, you can leave it or plug it, your choice. The seal is easy to change in or out of the car, but of course easier out. 3 pints is a good start but, fluid level is best attained by unplugging the fill plug and filling it until it just begins to run out. This with the trans in the car on level ground.
