Hey Mebe,
I did the conversion, but i did it because i dont like automatics, i think they take the fun out of driving a muscle car! what questions do you have regarding 4 speeds vs th350? i think the plus would be you dont need to run a converter so you open to doors to a lot more camshafts that require a certian amount of stall. Im sure More People Will Chime In!

Im a big fan of stick cars, but i also like having an overdrive for cruising. It all kind of depends on the gears you're using and what you want to do with the car. And of course if you wanna really have some fun you can go full manual valve body on the auto.

I got a 5 speed in mine, love it!! I used to build race automatics. for the street, stick shift, for the track, automatic..your racing the clock at the track vs. racing another car on the street. Which you shouldn't do anyways...

Whats your intended use? For strictly running at the track I would run an auto. For daily driving I would run an auto. For street strip I would run an auto. Geez I guess I am a little biased haha. Manual transmissions are fun and really unless you are gonna be living at the race track I would run either.

Ya I guess it just depends on your preference then. I really do not care for shifting a daily driver so I wouldn't want one in that but for a weekend car a manual could be fun.

Manual all the way for me. If I can't buy it that way, I convert it. So much more fun to drive, until you get stuck in mind melting traffic.
