My sister-in-law had an 06. I worked on it a bit. I didn't like it.I never had to replace an engine in one but other guys I worked with did. Seemed like it was 25-ish hours.

It's a 'dare to be different' deal. And there's nothing wrong with that.I interviewed Calvin on my YouTube channel, super smart dude. Subbed to this thread! Really thinking of 4200 swapping my GP some day
That, and it's not hard to sacrifice 2 cylinders and improve on a 301 Pontiac at the same timeIt's a 'dare to be different' deal. And there's nothing wrong with that.
LV1 or LV 3 v6 with port injection. That is the future hot swap for a boosted 6
Hence - LS100% id love to own a turbo LV 4.3
Except their flipping $3500-$5500 for salvage yard pullouts stripped without accessories.
An lt1 5.3 is $2200 for a cheap one and a cheap l8t 6.6 gas is $5000.
Maybe in 10 years the LT v6 will be affordable but they've been out for 8 years and they're still stupid.

The Holley LT intakes fit them, just need to lop off 2 holes in the back of it. So port injection is on the table.
Imagine that V6 with big boost.
You and me both.... That motor is gonna be sick in a swap.I need the future today damnit!!
