i am running the serpentine setup off a late 90's s10 with the 4.3 on my big block.
it also has the ac compressor and the power steering. it clears completely. i used the adapter brackets from kwick perf.
That is GREAT info! An affordable serpantine system! I'm gonna do some homework on this. Did you buy that system and how much off the top of your head?

i had bought the brackets off eBay before they had a website a few years ago for around $120 back then.
here are some answers
78 Monte Carlo sbc motor mounts and clam shells.
originally my steering box was factory 1978 F41 Monte Carlo, 4 bolt cover then i swapped it out for the quick ratio steering box from a 92 Firebird equipped with the WS6 16" wheel option with the 4 bolt cover.
the serpentine brackets are off iirc 96 s10
alternator is also s10
water pump is a standard reverse rotation 454 from i believe a 99 suburban?? but any reverse rotation bbc one will work
power steering pump is a factory 85 Buick grand national hydroboost pump with 2 return lines
water pump pulley is from the same s10 as the serp. brackets
crank pulley is 454 serpentine from the same as the water pump
power steering pulley is also s10 from the same serp. brackets
ac compressor is factory s10 from the serp. setup or you can run the bypass pulley for $20
the serpentine setup also clears my tall style fabricated sheetmetal valve covers with no issues
I see you are running a tall intake too. Are you running a cowl hood? I wouldn't mind running a 2" hood, but no more than that. Would prefer to have even lower, like the 70's chevelle cowl. I'll look for aftermarket or just weld one onto my existing hood. I never thought to look for a serpentine from a 4.3. I'm also pretty new to G body stuff, as this is only my second and I just figured, hell, if I need it, I better fire up the bridgeport and TIG machine. I would like to lose my Vee belt configuration.
Oh, and Thomas, I'm heading out in a couple hours. Don't know which route we're driving down, but I know we are coming back up 99 for a stop in fresno to pick up 5 superchargers...I'll keep you posted-
yes i am running a cowl hood, its not going to stay on the car though. its really a piece of crap fiberglass hood that would take so much time and effort to make work its not worth it. so i am going to swap in a old school twisted torker low rise intake and run a stock hood.
Thank You for posting up! The serp. input is super valuable. I have the factory HO intake on now, so I hope it will clear, when I go port injection, there won't be an issue, I can even fab up a sheet metal intake to clear the hood. Now, my next dilemma...Single chamber flow masters or two Chamber???

easy answer neither.
flowmasters are all about sound if you want perfromance and sound go magnaflow or dynomax ultraflow.
i have ultraflows on the monte with dual 3 inch exhaust and it sounds awesome!
anytime you have questions let me know, im glad to help
Good info. Like, I've kinda said, it's not going to be a High HP monster, it's gonna get a lot of Chassis Dyno time, to figure out best EFI systems and have a frindly trailer pulling cruiser. But, flow= efficiency and that makes sense to me.
Thanks, I'm out, gotta hit the road.
