just trying to figure ot how it wat is in there to let go if i get a thick gear an try to find a full spool under 200 bucks with c clip elimiators an a suport cover. i have been looking at a ford 9 but ill be out almost 1500 bucks seting it up for my car. i can get the 7.5 done for bout 600 bucks

it will be 600 wasted when it blows up.

And yes it will blow up.

Not to mention good luck in the rain with a spool. :blam:

I say we place some bets for which happens first

Blows up

or

Crashes

Don't take it the wrong way.

It's just that I have been there done that already and it was and is a complete waste of time and $$$$.

a mini spool is what you see in the post above, it replaces the spider gears and locks the two axles together....a full spool replace the whole carrier and the crown gear is bolted to the spool

For the streets...YOu will not like or want a spool, mini or not.....Take that 7.5 rear and throw it out....Like PontiacGP did, try to find a rear from a 66-72 A Body car..Even their 8.2 10 rears are much stronger then a 7.5 8)

yw....another thing with a full spool vs a mini spool the full spool is lighter then the stock carrier and a smooth design so it turns with less drag and doesn't churn up rear end oil....anything that gives up a little more speed on a circle track is worth it's cost...
