Need more info....type of car, year, motor, rear end...etc. Your crossmember may not work, and the driveshaft may need to be shortened.

You need to shorten your driveshaft, modify or get new crossmember, and some way to control the lock up convertor. You will want to get the correct bracket and geometry corrector for whatever carb you are running, if other than a stock quadrajet. Also modify your shifter or get a new one if you want all the detent positions. And this is assuming you are running a Chevy engine.

its a 79 malibu classic 4 door 267/th350 not sure about the rear havnt had much time with the car lately plan on swapping in a 350 sbc with a 650 edelbrock

on my 84 im using my stock crossmember with some spacers to clear the drive shaft so it does not rub and i just used a later model silverado transmission mount out of a 91 silverado and just had to re drill the mount holes to use the mount from the truck my transmission came from and it works fine.

how are ways i can go about the lock up converter

TCI has a lock up kit for non computer set ups. Very simple to install.

Why bother upgrade to an OD if it a drag car?
