700 r4 swap

So you gota shorten the drive shaft 3 inches, wire in a relay to operate the torque converter lockup, cut about 2 inches out of the cross member mounting pad. Aaand the shift linkage is different.

I did this swap last year.....Shaft needs cut 3"...YOu weill nedd 49 1/2 " from center of U-Joint to Center of U-Joint. I had a column shift and scrapped that and put a b&M pro-stick on the floor, made things much easier. You will need a new crossmember or have yours modified. Most importantly you need to have the TV cable set properly. You will also need a new linkage bracket and geometry corrector. You can grab those at Jegs. You can also go non lock up comverter as well...

i noticed your a sheriff i have a question since your a gearhead how do you go about on speeders and street racing when your on duty

I'm not a fan of street racing, it's dangerous and illegal here in N.Y. As far as speeders, I use my discretion when I write tickets🙂

built up a new crossmember for my dual exhaust anyway .....

love it !
now 3:50 gears in my 9" ,combined with the 700R4 od , its great !
