I'm pretty stoked.

I'll be taking what I need from the el camino for the malibu this weekend. I'm hoping to have a street worthy daily in the malibu by saturdays end. then it will be a matter fixing one piece at a time.

The block is going to the shop to get honed and clearance for the 383 buil

I've read some bad stuff about Saginaw 4 speed.

Is going behind a 383 stroker but I'm not building a drag car. Do you guys think that's too much of a torquey motor for the sag?

Most older guys I've talked to say they are great past 1st gear.

have a picture of the trans? how many rings are on the input shaft

they are the weakest of the 4 speeds no slicks!!! no drag radials!!!

Here are pics of the transmission. Anyone know if it's a good one?

2.56 first gear
1.81 2nd gear
1.44 3rd gear
1.00 4th gear

It's a 4 speed!!!! it's awesome. Go easy on it. No hole-shots slicks or drag radials.

Just drive and enjoy rowing through the gears.

With the occasional green light clutch pop !!

Does it say 3925656 or 3925856 on the case?
