I forgot to mention that I got the transmission rebuilt over the summer:

Love the square bodies. One day my c20 will get some love.

Looking good.

I'm liking this build. I had a '77 K5 Blazer years ago, as well as a '78 GMC pickup. Both good trucks. Looking forward to more updates on this one.

A little more work done today:

I'm starting to get excited with all this progress... thought I might buy myself a little accessory for the truck 😎

A lot done today! The cab repairs are complete!

The rest of the frame has been scaled, painted and undercoated, as well as the underside of the cab and the firewall. The wheels have also been cleaned, sanded and primed! (Polished up the chrome trim a bit too, just for kicks)

So we decided early in the week that it would actually be less work to repair the stock doors than to use the other ones i got. The driver's door that I got, which was aftermarket, was actually really cheesy and had signs of rot near the bottom that I was unaware of. So, with a few hours of work on the doors and some final alignment of the rockers, she's ready to roll into the paint booth.

Found myself a motor today. I was going to build one myself but I ended up finding one even better. It's a 355 SBC, forged internals, domed pistons, 64cc aluminum heads with 210cc intake runners, 11:1 compression, solid roller cam, holley strip dominator intake, 800cfm carb, etc etc.... this might start coming together quickly!

The bed has had a lot of work done to it. Kind of a shame you can't even tell.... anyway, It's ready to head into the paint booth.
