IIRC the GM muscle car pan is the hummer oil pan or otherwise known as the LH8 oil pan.

Neither. Gmpp has a direct gbody pan for $150 that comes with pan, pan gasket, pickup, baffle, and dipstick

It will hang too low below the crossmember because it is meant for trucks. Get either the Holley pan or an F-body/CTS-V car-type pan.
Never mind dude you were right. Hes got the holley pan

Is this gonna blow up? Probly. Did i do somthing wrong? Probly. It is my first LS so ya never know lol

Motor almost back together. I was hopin some of you guys can shine some light for me tho. The balancer bolt my instructions for my ARP bolt i bought say torque to 235 but my torque wrench maxes out at 170 i tightened it down to 170 then i went a few more clicks past. Is this ok? Or should i buy a torque wrench that goes higher. I had a buddy tell me on his truck when he changed the chain is his 5.3 he went 200 then never stressed about it what do you guys think??

And the motor i cant remember if it was doing this before the cam but when i turn it over by hand it spins fine for a bit then slows down. Its not locking up or hitting anything it just gets alittle harder to push but will make a full rotation without issue i was blaming it on compression but i have no spark plugs in so what do you guys think?? And yes the dots line up perfect

I think im gonna put a starter and battery on it just to let it turn over on its own.

Sorry for the late update. But the motor is basically together. Well as far as i can go for now anyway. I still gotta buy a starter and 5 coil packs yes 5! There was only 3 that wernt broke after i unloaded it out of my truck. But once i get that then i can buy fun stuff like the pan, intake, carb, box and a few other things and were golden!
