They run better with a mid '60's 2bbl carb/intake donated from a 283 & some 2.73-3.08 gears. We slapped one into a '78 Firebird that was an origial 231/3 speed stick but was a 250-6/TH350 when we had it. It ran farely better than when it was in the '81 Monte it came out of.Has anyone on here ever fooled around with the 267? I’m wondering if mine still has the 267 in it as it seems to be a lot peppier as the one I had in a 80 Cutlass in the middle 90’s. It seems to be really solid and was thinking about throwing some parts at it while I find a good 400 to build for it.
