Welcome to the GBodyForum!
Nice looking wagon. You didn't waste any time cleaning it. You started before it was off the trailer. You have the dedication to make that wagon all you want it to be. Make that ride yours.

We're here to help. Post your progress.
Check out www.garage-scene.com for data on manual shift part numbers and swaps.

Has anyone on here ever fooled around with the 267? I’m wondering if mine still has the 267 in it as it seems to be a lot peppier as the one I had in a 80 Cutlass in the middle 90’s. It seems to be really solid and was thinking about throwing some parts at it while I find a good 400 to build for it.

Can’t help you with the 267 Ruru but I’m curious about your 4 speed swap. What are the plans with that?

I’ve got everything except peddles at the moment. I’m still on the fence a little about the power plant, but thinking about building a decent 406.

They run better with a mid '60's 2bbl carb/intake donated from a 283 & some 2.73-3.08 gears. We slapped one into a '78 Firebird that was an origial 231/3 speed stick but was a 250-6/TH350 when we had it. It ran farely better than when it was in the '81 Monte it came out of.
