You're not, that's why I explained it. I didn't mean to offend, just explaining why.
Thanks. I'm going to use classic auto air and a sanden compressor. The Olds brackets are hard to find, if you decide to scrap that engine pull them and post on the forum, I'm probably not the only person that needs them!
 
Sorry ... Newbie to this posting. Location? Maybe get a road trip going.

On the side of the block it should show a "DX" if it does those are worth some money if true 350 DX.

Edit: went back reread from start. You're north of Atlanta, so about 3 day drive. Might be couple months... I still have trans for one ton to finish.

Correct, engine is currently in Alpharetta, GA at a friend's commercial business, stored inside.

Where would we look for the DX marking ? Also, note this is a 260 V8 diesel, not a 350. I assume the blocks could be same with different bore ?
 
Dx is a 350 block not a 260
