8.2 Gears

heres one that i found on craigslist, but i can't find any documentation that chevy ever offered a 2.93 gears in an 8.2 axle.
i have seen gbody axles stuck in old chevelles and 2.93 gears were available in 7.5 axles.

heres a 2.56 near detroit. but i can't find any posi units for these axles.

the 64 to 67 A body rear is 2.5" wider than a G body rear and the 68 to 72 version is 4.5" wider. I checked for the carrier for the 8.2 and it seems that only a 3 series is available. According to this list the the 2.73 was available for the rear end I have so those gears must have been made thinner to fit.
