Out of curiosity would the later 84 to 87 front clip match up with the doors of the 78-80? If i were to locate fenders and everything else?

I don't know if there is any difference in the shape of the doors where they meet the fender but I would imagine they would be very close if not the same, as far as front clips the fenders and hood are the same 81'-87' the only difference between the years is the later models header panel.

The fenders are different at the doors.
Sounds like a lot of work if the doors don't match up with the later model fenders.

Hm. I may be getting to the local salvage yard and trying to find a dog house for this car. Make a real one off.

Ive noticed finding a hood and a glass bumper for the 78-80's has limited options vs the later model years

Any of the Gbody's in the 78'-80' era have a very limited aftermarket support be thankful there is anything.

So i finally found an 80 regal that someone has 'built," as a hot street/grudge car to get an idea of how mine will look and see what i can do to make mine suit my taste.

Essentially i really like the way this car is set up, most noteable differences i will aim for with my car will be 1) delete the hood ornament, 2) tuck the glass bumpers in without bumper gap fillers which will likely include trimming the curve out of the grill at the bottom.

Does anyone have any other pictures of a done up 80 that i may be able to look at to get some ideas for?
