My '85 CL w/T-Tops saved from the crusher. Bought from the original owner who already had it on the tow truck taking it to the yard. He damn near cried. Purchase price, and later a wrecked '86 parts car, with the cowl hood and a ton of smaller details all in all I'm still sitting around $1800 total wrapped up in this one. It's been an excellent budget build so far. Still a 4.3 car with a death rattle at high RPM but I got my eye on a 327/700r4 swap for it. Going to enjoy the hell out of this one. Oh yeah...and it will be Silver soon as well (way too much green for me lol) Enjoy.

This is the only picture of my last 81 when I brought it home, no drivetrain otherwise complete.
A pic that was taken by another forum member that spotted my car before I took the big wheels off
looks much better without big rims haha. how low are you planning on going with it? you should just bag it.
