BUILD THREAD 81 Buick/Olds Turbo Wagon 02/15/2024 More Parts!

All I can see is those brutal coolant and washer fluid jugs! lol
Just razzing you, but seriously, NOS reservoirs are all over eBay...
Pay attention to the mounting tabs when you're looking, '81-'88 2-dr Cutlass won't work.
Keep up the good work Jim!

I agree with you there! But seriously, those inner Wells are from a Pontiac sedan. Hard to find those replacements.

Ah, I forgot they weren't Olds wheel wells!
I've heard bleach helps take away some of the yellowing, but I've never tried it to see for myself...

The wagon is rockin', just in time for snow! Looking forward to seeing it at its first car show.

What choices are you considering for alternate wheels?

Thank you sir. As far as wheels, I am keeping a budget. So I have been scoping out the FR500s for a rustang, since I already run adapters. I'll run them matte black, and keep these bullit wheels as track day wheels.

I've also heard of using small sharp sided gravel inside the tank with a cleaning agent to bring them back to life, but I was lucky and was able to buy new for the GP so I didn't try.

I did try the black, but I didn't leave them submerged in bleach for real long, I could try that. And also with some rocks inside to agitate.

We used to use stay-dry (or kitty litter) with a high strength cleaner at the dealer I used to work at. We would fill half way with cleaner and add stay-dry until it was real silty, then just shake the crap out of it until it was clean. That would help a lot.

As far as yellowing ??? more bleach I guess.

Hutch

Great tips, I'll have to try them.
