Washed it for the first time, cleaned off the inch of brake dust off the front wheels ect. Looks pretty good. Needs the chrome rub strips on the bumpers and the rear wheel wells need to get painted but its looks pretty good. 😀

It's been getting 20+ MPG and starts every time so im happy.

Have you considered on running a intercooler on you set-up?

You can't intercool a drawthrough setup. You can't keep the fuel in the air for much more than 18 inches or so. The air temperature drop through the intercooler would deffinitly make the fuel puddle also. Its been thought of. If I ever decide I want to run 11's I think I would build a blowthrough carb and set the tubing up like a 86/87 GN but instead of EFI just a Holly sitting on a weiand 4bbl manifold.

Im thinking I should be able to flirt with 12.90's on a drawthrough nonintercooled with a 86/87 turbo and an E85 Q-jet, or a Holly as I have heard the fuel passages in a Q jet cant flow the 30% extra fuel needed for E85.

You should drive it down for Car Craft this weekend!

Thanks! I am going to be driving it down on Saturday morning for CC. I was slightly considering entering it in the show but the pass was for all 3 days and I didn't want to be there for all 3 days. It will be in the parking lot at least. 🙂

Sweet!
If you still have my number you should hit me up when you're there... If you don't have it, shoot me a PM.
I should be there all day saturday.

Not sure which way you take to get here, but beware of road construction on Snelling Av. between 94 and the fairgrounds, and all up and down University...

Yeah I still have your number, I will call you probably a bit after I get to the show. Anything worth checking out as far as events? Ive heard theres that real street eliminator competion thing and that sounds worth while.

Ill have to watch the construction, I usually come into the cities on 94 so Ill have to throw my GPS in the back seat and remember a map. 😀

i've been following this thread and i have to say that its a very interesting build. The cutlass looks sharp with that hood scoop and wing BTW

Well on the way back from car craft the car called it quits and shut off going 70 on the interstate. Found out the signal wire going to the MSD box got pulled out and I lost spark, easy fix, push wire back into plug right? Well, no. So the next action was to take the MSD wires off and run straight from rotor to the cap. That should work right? Well, no. Get a ride to a parts store, put in a new igition module, that should fix it right? No. Pull car to parking lot, drive 6 hours today in the diesel tow rig to pick the car up. Trailer it home.

I now own a trailer queen. :| With no spark....

I get to pull the cap off and check the coil tomorrow. Yay.

dang...sorry to hear thar
