You're still rolling the dice...
If you can lay down a good primer sealer without any problems, you should be o.k., but I've still seen it lift.

When my 442 and wagon inevitably get painted, they will be stripped to bare metal first.
Working at the restoration shop I saw too many problems trying to go over old paint.
To me, it's not worth the potential time saved versus the time/wasted materials it takes to re-do it...

Sand, Bondo, Sand, Paint, Ect. Welded up the trim holes in one of the fenders, filled the trim seam on the hood, drilled holes for the cowl, and painted the underside. Would think about priming the nose this next weekend but mother nature doesnt realize its spring now and wants to be 20 out all next week. :x :x I liked last spring better, snow was gone by now.

Just what Ive been up to. Nose is done with primer and ready to be sprayed, car needs to get finish sanding and fil a few dents. Turns out I only need to weld my door cracks up and weld the holes in the doors for the molding. :D And no hidden rust either, yay.

Didnt get much done in the past few weeks. Wanted to take a break, was gone a week, messed around on the trailer for a weekend. Got my spoiler spacers casted and duraglassed on, got some studs and drilled the holes. Have to finish sanding it down but it should be good to go soon. This is a stock 87 Firebird spoiler. I didnt want to chop the ends down so im happy with how it turned out.

And the next project for the fall. Its a few months early but it was the car I wanted. 97 Firebird, 3.42 Posi, Ttops, locked up 3800. Should be a good base for a GTP L67 supercharger. #5 cylinder spark plug was chewed up, so Ive gotta pull the K member out. Little rust but not bad.

Painted the hood, fenders, and header panel today. Painting the body tomorrow. I got 2 dandeloin seeds and 1 bug in the paint but otherwise its good. Paint went on flat, no runs, no tiger striping, over all good. Hood looks like it went through a hail storm and is kinda wavy and junk but its better than rock chipped faded paint. :D
