I’m also looking at carbs and can’t decide between the brawler 650 vs the 750 dp. The car has 3.73s and a 2800-3000 stall and with the cam in it it should pull all the way to 6500 rpm. Some people say I need 650 some say I’d need 750, any opinions on this? Also I’m thinking of getting the race series(without the choke horn)

If your car is a street car for the most part, the 650 is probably your best bet. I've always overcarbed my streetcars thinking bigger has to be better and throttle response, mpg and hard hot starts were a PITA. But if its a drag car the 750 dp w/mechanical secondary would be the choice. Holley walked me through my last carb purchase. They were really helpful. Awesome car cant wait to see the burnout video(s) 😁

Agreed.... the last thing you want on a street car is a non responsive carb. Velocity is the key to a good running car and a smile on your face

Thanks for the response! It’s really a street/strip car but thanks to the local track closing the year I get into it, I’ll have to go out of province so I probably won’t be going too often haha. That will probably be the route I go then I was thinking 750 would be overkill but figured I ask and don’t worry there will be lots of burnouts haha

Exhaust is done 3” with Dynomax race bullets. Also got my A/F gauge almost completely installed just have to run power to it. More pictures to come. Haven’t decided if I should angle cut the tips of the pipe or not

When I was a younger buck I ran dynomax race bullets. I'm sure you know that they are loud. Barely quieter than open exhaust. In case you might have issues with neighbors or law enforcement.

Oh I’d imagine they will be. I love the sound and my neighbors are pretty use to me any vehicles I have either are straight piped or pretty near lol

I don't know that you'll see a difference in carburetors. If it was me, I would just go with the 750. I've run 750's on many 350's and they run just fine. When I was young, I fell into the trap of worrying about carburetor sizes and tried a 650 where the 750 was. So I bought a brand new carb and noticed ZERO difference in it. So I put my old 750 back on and sold the new 650. And I wouldn't worry about the crank in your motor. A new cast crank will be fine.
