Well time for another pic dump

I prepped the new panel and the new piece I made. Then welded them together

Then welded it onto the car.

Also added a small piece of the inner wheel well

The outter edge of the driver side wheel house was to rusted to keep. This is how I fixed it

Just clamp some sheet metal onto the edge and cut the over hang into sections, then fold them up and tack them together then weld it up.

The old piece cut out

And repeat for the rear piece

Made the lower rear outter wheel well out of 2 pieces the same as the front section.

And the hole shebang tacked in.

Fabbed up a new trunk drop off, repaired the small piece at the back and finished all the welds.

Have a little bit more grinding and cleaning up to do. Next I need repair all the rust on the lower door post skin and sling some epoxy on the inside of the rocker before welding it on and finishing the metal work on the body. I also scored some new used front fenders, my buddy is picking them up near barrie and bringing them back for me.

Great work as usual. My hat's off to you for your continued perseverance.
I've been enjoying your thread.

Finished up the driver side rocker and door bar

Epoxied the inside of the rocker and got it all welded on. Still need to grind down the welds but I wanted to finish this up so that I could set the body on the rockers and remove the frame.

And now she sits on a throne of lumber free from the rusty frame

Speaking of which, here is what happened when I pushed the old frame outside and around the shop with my winter beater.

Pulled the parts car in and swapped out the frame, and robbed every part off the old frame that was good like the new springs shocks and front rotors. It now sits with no rear springs or shocks.

took some time from the body and got the new frame stripped, degreased and pressure washed. It seams like the under coating ate way the paint on the frame or the paint was crap, because it all came of with the pressure washer. Im supper happy with how clean this thing is, its almost all bare steel. I just need to clean up the factory spatter and re-weld the seams in some key areas, box in the sides and fix the only real rust on the 2 fire wall body mount holes. Im going to try and build a pressure pot sand blaster and use that to clean it up so i can get good bite for either POR15 or chassis saver, then add some new parts
