Are there supposed to be any kind of rubber dust flap on the inner fender to seal the area around the control arms on an '82 El Camino? My older Chevelles have something like this, but this is my first G-body car and there is nothng there. Thanks!
The ones on my 78 El Camino fell apart years ago.(with the help of a alignment shop) I have been looking for some of these for a long time. They were attached to the inner fender well with staples and push pins. And kept water from splashing up into the engine compartment over the upper control arms.ssbrewskyaz said:Here's my two sense. I've been watching these stupid flaps on eBay for probably a year now. I too have never seen a car with them but apparently they're only on specific years, 1984 thru 1987. Whether that's true or not is beyond me but I can't imagine a company repopping something that never was.
By the same token, everybody loves this kind of stuff and it's always missing or crappy looking so I suppose a cottage industry could be created by making a part only one make and one model had. U B the judge. ...
