Use a long style water pump on the 350sbc. that is what the factory used on g-bodies[and every thing else from 1970 and up i think] that way the proper brakets and pulleys will be easier to locate. I'm not sure if thepower steering braket from the Olds will bolt to the chev.

why not just go from the 307 to another Olds engine? sure Chevy engines may be cheaper to build but not by much.. Hell i stuffed a 455 in my car for under 800 bucks including the cost of the engine!

I would suggest that also, but he said he already bought a chevy engine. If he wanted to he could sell it and have enough money to get an Olds and it will swap right in.

It won't. Good excuse to put in an S-10 manual box... :D

How hard is it to switch a power steering car to an S-10 manual box?

Just as easy as swapping parts out. They are bolt in.

That I am not sure of. I think it is from the 80's maybe early 90's S-10's.

Hey, I am doing something similar. I am installing a sbc350 in my 78 Olds Delta 88 that had a 350 diesel in it.
I already got the engine installed but im having trouble with the accessory brackets. What model car could I get the a/c bracket that fits on the passanger and also the alternator brackets for the driver side? So that I can use the a/c and alternator from my Oldsmobile on the sbc 350
Thanks

Holy old thread Batman! You need the brackets off a caprice or really anything sbc. The question is why would not go Olds 350, 403 or 455. The heavy weight and awful gearing are toreable with nice, flat Olds torque curve. Better plan on a gear and converter swap to move that heavy pig.
