'83 Cutlass Cruiser Build Thread

Been debating adding the vinyl woodgrain trim around the car once it's painted. Should I do it?

Blake,
I also have a spare glass from my old door, but the spare glass is no better than what's in the car now. It probably has deeper grooves in it. The glass in the car is kinda scuffed like someone ran a piece of sandpaper on it. Not gouged out like some that I've seen. Maybe it's time for another junkyard expedition.

Don't worry about the hijack...
It's actually something I need to address with my wagon as well.
I kept the door glass from my Malibu when I parted it out, so I'll pick the best that I have available since I'm way too lazy to polish out the scratches...

I too have 2 sets of glass, one from the Malibu and the glass that came in the Buick. So I will pick the best and run with it, then maybe get the spares polished at a later date. I am running out of time to get this thing to paint by April.

Thanks, HAFROD! I'm looking forward to seeing your Olds come together!
I'm actually going to keep my aluminum slots on the car, I sold off the original SSII's long ago...

Wiped the roof clean today and gave it a very thorough inspection.
Overall I'm really happy with how it's turning out.

Thursday I'll take care of the filler work for the tailgate and fix some chips on the header panel.
Then I'll prime the roof again and hit the header panel and tailgate too.

That's the plan for the next few days, we'll see how focused I can stay...

Liking how the roof looks...

I got the filler work taken care of on the tailgate.

Next time I head out there I'll weld up the holes in the doors and get them stripped and filled.

Lookin' good, man. 8)

Tailgate wasn't in bad shape it appears, the 2 I have are all waffled, lol.

Luckily the rest of the body is really straight.
Nothing like the roof!

Pulled the tailgate off and got the two passenger side doors stripped today and then the air compressor started acting up...
