84' Cutlass pro touring build

I'm not looking to have a disconnect switch that I'd have to open or close for security reasons, rather, a safer way to have battery mounted in trunk for performance and cleaning up engine bay. If you switched negative battery then while driving that long hot lead going to the starter is still hot. You can install a circuit breaker at battery to help with this (and still might do that) but I feel this is safer. JMHO
I understand what you are trying to do now. That is a lot of work for a little safety. You also are wrong. If you disconnect the ground to the battery, the electricity will not make I complete loop and you will not have power to anything. The reason why you put a switch in the negative side is, an alternator can complete the circuit if it is running. So you are going to run your alternator and power feed wires all the way back to the battery? That would be less safe than running one heavy cable to the starter. You do what ever you want though. I like seeing someone trying something different.

Yes all the way back to battery using fusible links. Nothing new or different. I did this on my last Chevelle using MADs electronics setup. madelectronic.com

I am a little interested in how you are going to make the two seliniods work together? Is one going to be switched and the other keyed, or are you going to pigtail the two activation wires together?

Has to be. I suppose you could put a jumper wire from the hot post of the starter to the start wire of the seliniod. So when your cable is live it also activates the seliniod. Sorry for muddying up your thread. I will quit now.
