84 Grand National lq4 turbo swap

Shame they are sold out, my buddy was talking about just flipping the stockers and welding them since most of the mani's melt stuff
Flipped and welded stock manifolds for FTW. If he old find a clean set then you can use the factory heat shields - it works. Just have to trim the heat shields to accommodate where the flange is welded on.

OP's AC will make for challenging flange placement though.

The one's I have off the 5.3 are in decent shape, that had been the plan. I would like to cut some time down in fabbing so thought about buying it already done, when I sent the website to my buddy he was shocked at the price. But he's one of those true mechanics through and through who would rather spend hours in labor than any money on parts hahaha

They are proud of there log manifold for sure. They are one of the only ones that I could find that had the wastegate flange casted in a location that will work with the g body

This one of those things. By the time he gets the 1st two made he’ll be able to make a set in about 3 hours.

FWIW the set I made mine from were some of the rustiest crap manifolds I could find. I wanted to see what would happen - 2+ years still going strong. I used rust cleaner to get the scale off - 1800 degrees at full tilt haha.

Maybe it’s an optical illusion, but that looks like a hood clearance issue.

Maybe it’s an optical illusion, but that looks like a hood clearance issue. It's going to be a close fit. I choose the turbo with the 2.5 outlet instead of the 3inch as the snail is a tiny bit smaller and gives a little more space. This weekend I'll have the turbo all bolted down and I'll test fit the hood. Lets see...
