It had at least half inch or better between screen and bottom of pan

It sat with no oil in it a few months, put oil in today

Hang on. How long did it run before you realized there wasn't any oil thru the pushrods? 30 seconds or less?

Not long less than 30 secs

Cranked it a few time for 30ish secs, no oil through push rods. Then started for few secs still no oil

I would be willing to bet there wasn't enough time for it to even get up there. It has to go thru the lifters which kills the oil pressure. Let it run longer. Maybe two minutes even. Once it comes out it's usually just a dribble

Did you prefill the oil filter before cranking?

Should I try run it again or pull distributor and use priming tool
