well i disconnected my smog pump blocked off necessary vacuum and put the air cleaner on it and did the tune-up. the car doesnt bog down as much but i am still lucky if i hit 70mph on the highway. so i noticed this say for 2 miles the car has balls and wants to go kind of then the next two miles it dont want to get out of its own way. what is going on. Is this the timing? i will hopefully be replacing the carb. next weekend. will this fix the problem by getting rid of the computer controlled crap?

i also picked up for free 6 olds rallye wheels i just need to get the tires off at school on monday or tuesday to see which are good and which aren't. then the 4 goods are going to gewt sandblasted and maybe powdercoated if it isnt too expensive

Here is my 1986 Olds Cutlass Supreme Brougham that i bought for $1000 many have probably seen it on here before but this is my build thread.

Most rust on the car (will change trunk lid)

Kind of tired 307 (will wake it up a little)

I got a86 cutlass to that Im doing some rust and frame repair on. Im turning in to a drag car. here a pic before I started cuting on it.

Google QAA Chrome Trim; If they don't hav'em new you'll have to go used.

got a new carb. from a buddy today $70 Edelbrock #1406 1953

ok question to put this carb on i know i need a vacuum advance hei distributor, and an adapter but do i need square bore to spread bore or the other way around???
