Texas82GP, Thanks you just ordered it do you know the part # that the stalk slides into by any chance and where I can get it?
The stalk stabs into the 'mulit-function switch'. It is essentially the wiper switch. I'm not sure one for delay wipers is available. You may have to find a good used one.

I just opened the steering wheel and I need a new wiper switch. Does anyone know the part number? It's for a 87 cutlass or maybe have a parts car and want to sell it?

I was wondering if anyone has changed there wiper switch? Or has any idea how to get to it. I need a new one if you have one from a parts car.

Looks like the switch is available after all...

If I was going to have to dig into my steering column to change the wiper switch I would consider changing the turn signal switch at the same time if it was still the original one...or at least changing the springs in the turn signal switch..🙂

If you buy that wiper switch, be sure and double check it is for delay wipers before you tear into your column. I was under the impression the delay switch wasn't available new and don't want to see you tear the column down only to discover it is the wrong switch. The website shows it is for delay wipers but that doesn't mean it isn't in error. For that price, it should be for delay wipers. You can check it by stabbing your stalk into the new switch and check the operation.

Nice, step by step instructions. Thanks looks hard but I think I can handle it. And yes I will replace the turn springs. I just replaced the springs on my 70 cutlass last night only took me 10min to complete the job. Oriellys had them in stock for $2.69 so I got to sets. Might go get a few more sets as everyone for a little more but that shipping kills you.
