87 El Camino Daily Driver/Weekend Cruiser

Welp!!! Made my mind up. The built Gnat rear is coming out the SS and gettin dropped in the Elco. I think that might be this weekends project. Snatch it and have it ready for transport with the cowl hood and motor for the El. Been mocking up the B&M trans cooler to see how I can run the hoses..

The cooler will actually be mounted to the condensor. I just mocked it up to see how I can run the hoses to my Dakota Digital trans temp sending unit block...Man braided hose and the -6AN fitting are nice..AND PRICEY!! damn! :shock:

The sending unit will sit on a ruber block to keep it off the condensor. I can just get a kit like I have to mount the cooler. Really clean and simple..

Ill use this setup to mount the sending block. Should work out sweet.

Scuffed and filler primer for the fans. Lettin the primer dry out and will smooth it and give the housing the "wellz" treatment. SHould be a cool look..

I got a call from Dave today and let me tell you...Dave got me so motivated about the lil garage work Im doing. Man Im super pumped and cant wait to get off work in the morning..Thanks for that pep talk bruh!! That convo really got me amped up and ready to get to work

Oh snap!!!! :shock: taking the BCT to a whole nother lever! Which means the SS is also getting a upgrade. U better not leave that 8.5 out here unattended, I still got a peg leg in mine :evil:

Warren like I told ya your doing it right. And trust me all of you guys got me motivated to get some stuff done on mine I'm spending almost 650 in just parts this week. Ill send ya that info on the goods in the am as well as the pics of those fittings and a/c condensor I'm gonna run. yep them braided lines ain't no joke just wait till I get my a/c setup going ill keep ya posted on them prices. The gn rear end I gonna step up the game .Keep up the good work and remember the el co thang run is October 23rd? When the bct is on the road well get together to get them wells done cause only one guy doing mine and that is Warren Harris later all.

Ok. Got some action. Finished up the block. Scuffed, primered, sprayed and i even tried to clear it. Didnt work out so great with the clear but its all good..

Block in high temp primer.

Sprayed. I didnt get the "Chevy blue" This is an "old Ford blue" Oh well. Im still keepin it Chevy!

Heads taped off..Hood job but it works..

Sprayed..Instant "ALUMINUM"Vortech heads :wink: Picked up an extra fiddy hp from that mod!! Oh Im such a ricer now!

The paper is off. I left the tape over the exhaust holes, water pump holes and stuff till I get the motor out there...

All the pullies and brackets are getting the Melman Chrome treatment. Cant wait to get the pullies out there. Im also gonna get a clean tuff stuff alt for now til i can figure out a bracket mod for the big alt I have... Coming together. Braided hose and fittings, hid kits, re-ceramic coat theheaders, new cap/rotor and spark plugs coming soon...Imma just let the motor bake til its time to swing it out to AZ. Shootin for the weekend of sept 30th...
