Looks good so far! I like the blue block. I did the aluminum color with my GN heads and an as cast color on my Caddy heads both with black blocks and both have gotten unsolicited compliments. Like yours both had ceramic coated headers also. . I like to see the block & heads a different color. Wires that match the cap always look good to. There was a guy who recently posted pics of his 455 Olds that looked good.

Thanks fellas!! Its coming together. Its really all is just practice to see if i can actually do it. With the help of my 80z crew watchin over and the gbodyforum family, I will have it all back together and running soon. Just waiting on Mr. Postman to make a few deliveries and I can get things moving. For a guy startin out, this looks pretty cool "for what it is" . I should have some more updates here in a few days. Trying to get as much done as i can early so the paint has plenty of time to cure and do its thing before heading to AZ. Im gonna head out to AZ on the 17th to clean up the transmission, drop the pan on and let it sit out for a bit. Things are starting to finally come together the way I wanted. Not saying ALL shops do you in, but man! After pulling the motor, pulling the dash and other stuff I found out the hard way how shops get over on you with the "they wont see this" shoddy *ss work. Headed out to the garage now to check on things..

Thanks for checkin back 😀

Got the fan assy done but I took it all apart to redo it. Had some runs. I think I can get it better without the fans in the way...Waiting for the paint to harden/cure and then Imma sand all the runs out and re-spray..

No trick... You said take the wiring sh*t off. I didnt care about overspray on the wires cuz acetone wipes that shiz right off. Runs happen. 😛 I just took the fans off so I wouldnt have to tape al that crap up again. Now what chimpy *ss chump!!! And hell naw you aint pinchin my fans off me Skippy da Lobsta!! 😛

Thanks for checkin back bruh! I have a set of Billet Specialties ball melled holders on the motor now. I got the smooth ones cuz I was gonna run a different set of valve covers. I'll save em for my Malibu...

Accel HEI Corrected cap. Been wanting this for a while. It really cleans up the plug wiring by moving each bank of plug wires and routing them to each side of the car. Plugs 1-3-5-7 all run on the drivers side and plugs 2-4-6-8 run on the passengers side... This cap is for guys like us that do our own wrenching. I could see a biiig problem if a person didnt tell their mechanic that they had this setup

Looks just like a regular HEI Cap...

The "magic" happens inside. Looks like all the wires cross inside this gel like material under the cap.

I had to swap the plug ends so my dust cap cover could be held in place. Accel has this setup, but I couldnt find which set had the little nipples on the boots..

Wires have to be grounded..
