Lil more progress and goodies!
Few more goodies came in...
SC & C front bar. Been wanting this part for years. Finally got one...
Spohn Hardware for the upper and lower front arms
Antihop bars...
Spohn "Super travel" upper ball joints
Spohn lower ball joints...
Axles painted
Correct studs for the axles
Spohn lca kit...
Cant stand centerbolt valve covers. So Imma try these adapter for perimeter styled covers. Got the GM Performance slanted tall covers coming. They look like the "572" valve covers but read "Chevrolet" on em with a bowtie. I like that I can drill my own holes for the pcv and breather..I'll get a pair of baffled grommets to hold the Edelbrock "Elite series" breather in endurashine and pcv...
Did some cleanup on wiring, made some ground wires and "hot" wire in 4 gauge from the battery to the starter. This is a lil ghetto setup (but safe and secure) for side post for now. Ill swap it over to top mount when I get the battery post I like..
Wrapped in some DEI heat wrap..Just used plastic zip ties for mock up. I have stainless zipties like used on my header wrap
Fan wiring all cleaned up and ready for power.
Made a few more ground wires...
Gotta go get a new Weller soldering iron and some flux. This is a sweet lil clip for the hot power and tach line that clips into to the dizzy. Has a "keyway" of sorts so you dont hook it up backwards..
Got some DEI heat wrap for my oil cooler lines, positive battery line running out to the starter(lil close to the header tubes), and the wires running down to the starter. I cant remember how that factory metal tube was secured. Cant use it anyways cuz of the thicker gauge wire being used. This will work cool. I secured it with plastic zip ties to mock it up. I have stainless zip ties to use when Im ready to run it and secure it..
Showed this before, but the hole is cut for my gauge. I have a Dakota digital fuel pressure gauge that was gonna go here, but im working on another project. I have the Airlift 1000 bags for the rear coil springs and will run an airlift 1000 tankless setup to raise and lower the psi from the cabin. Of course I'll be swapping the anolog gauge for a Dakota digital gauge and sending unit.
The switches will be mounted here. I'm using a stainless "momentary" lighted switch for the air inflation. Switch will be mounted on the gauge side. The other side will house the same style of switch but in the "latched" on/off style for manual override of the trans cooler fan, led fogs mounted in the air dam and possibly a white led strip in the bed of the truck.
This is the style of switch. Light ring will come on once pushed in to indicate power has been sent to whatever im powering on-fan, fogs ect
Tripple pillar pod like I have in my SS. Housing a Dakota Digital oil temp gauge, trans fluid temp gauge and my fuel pressure gauge..
Dropping some parts off for chrome and getting some customizing done to my wheel wells. I filled all the holes and painted em up. Came out cool for a home grown hookup but now its time for some proffesional touches. The housing for the fans will be done as well...Cant wait to get em back... 8)
Thanks for checking back...
