Lil more done on the floors. Used a green scrub pad to take some of the shine off and break up the loose dirt. Then acetone to degrease the floor. Worked on it for about an hour. I need to get a lil flux welder and mock up/weld the seat brackets in..

I'll cut some pieces of Fatmat and finish off the smugglers cabin and roof area today. Also cleaned up the "shop" last night. Ready to wrench and mess it all up again 😀

Looking good.

Thanks bruh!

Got a lil work done on the Fatmat. Smugglers area is pretty much done. Took the seatbelt bracket out so i could clean up down in the corners. Dab a lil "Body Armor" on, let dry and then cut the last few pieces of fat mat to finish the rear off.

Thanks bruh!! The chassis saver laid nice!! Left a really smooth finish. Once cured, I cleaned it with acetone and the Fatmat stuck like glue!! I finished off the smugglers area and brushed on the fatmat liquid down in the 1/4 window areas. I'll lay fat mat over that once its dries. I'm gonna use the liquid on the insides of the plastics as well. Looking for a reputable power window motor, and will replace those, then lay fatmat liquid and rattle trap on the doors. I may try to spray inside the doors... New perimeter style valve covers should be here tomorrow.. Got my weekend projects lined up!!

Lil update on the El. Dropped the dash back in and mocked up my SS seats to weld the brackets in. Jerry (DmonChIlD) is gonna let me use the welder so I can get em finished up. I sand blasted the insides of the brackets, taped off the areas where I need to weld and dabbed some chassis saver up inside em. . Should aid in preventing rust from forming if the insides start to "sweat" from heat and being covered with the fat mat. Picked up a set of perimeter style valve covers-I hate centerbolt--I have some adapters from Speedway motors. Hopefully they seal up nicely. I have a few proven methods to get the adapters to seal. Hopefully they work for me..

Mel got my lower control arms back from powder coating and had my Spohn heavy duty ball joints and bushings pressed in. THANKS BIG DOG!!. I may use these for my Malibu since they have red bushings. I can get a set of black Spohn bushings and use those on the El. Hmmm..
