87 Monte SS build

Bummer - you'll be cutting the trunk floor to fix that I bet.

Got my 17" N90 replicas

Wish they did an 18 or 20 version, I really do like the look but need more wheel for clearance. Feel like a putz saying that when they already upsized them, but pretty sure I need at least 18 to clear the C6 ZO6 calipers

mclellan, don't want to hijack t top tony's thread, but yes you need 18" rims min for the C6 Z06 calipers/rotors. Put them on my 85SS with Blazer spindles. Be careful of stick on wheel weights as well. Got my wheels balance and the position of the stick on weights make a difference (inside rim). Put the wheels back on the car after balancing and the weights just touched the calipers as I spun them. I drew a line on the rim where NOT to put the weights & got them rebalanced.

Yes 18" would of been nice. What I wish they've done is offered the rear in 17x10. I'm honestly considering getting the rear wheels made wider. But not sure if they'll have enough clearance.

Its been a while since I've posted on this thread, but I finally got some progress going on with the SS. On Thanksgiving morning I ended up removing the fenders and dropping the frame. The next few weeks I will clean it up, reinforce the rear lower control arm bracing, box in the center c-channels and notch the frame.

I also picked up the Holley LS swap kit, hooker 3" Blackheart exhaust, and Dakota digital gauges.
