Thanks bruh!! I got the other side in. Im debating on if i should get some adjustable upper cuz I wanna run some Edelbrock anti-hop bars. I didnt think about the pinion angle on the rear end changing if I added the bars. I need to get with Elco james on this. He has the anti-hop setup on his El. I think he has the stock rear trailing arms. If I can use the new setup with the Edelbrock setup, I'll just keep what i have until I swap em over to the Elco

here's a few pics. Got the other lower arm in. I was waiting to see what I would do as far as the uppers go. Imma just install em. No work this weekend tho. Got my boy again..

I sent all my aluminum parts out to be re-polished. I need to find an engraver for the front radiator cover. I want "OG iroc King" in cursive done. The show I'm trying to get out to is next week Sunday-April 25. I still have a lil time left. Trying to take my Elco and SS. So much to to and lil time left to do it all. I'll get it finished up tho. Thanks for lookin..

Lower front control arms done in chassis saver Rustolium. Lil ghetto job, but looks alot cleaner. I went with the satin finish and man! Its still a lil shiny. I like it tho...These are the og set for now. Just wanted to clean em up. The bushing and ball joints were still nice. I re-greased the ball joints and popped some new boots on em.. These are temps till I move and get the 3 car garage. Then I can tear it all back apart and go tubular. Im lookin for a tubular set WITHOUT bushings pressed in if anyone knows a spot. I want to chrome em and then press the bushings in..

Thanks bruh!! I'm new to all this stuff. I kept gettin burned by shops so I decided to do sh*t myself. Once Im moved into the new crip, I'll have plenty of room(3 car garage) to setup my tools and tear it all back apart and do it right. This is a lil ghetto job Im doin. Im trying to do all I can while I wait for parts to come in. I dont wanna get to deep into things at my boys crib. Im driving his wife crazy. LOL

Got some work done today(Satudray). Finished up the passenger side spring install and got the Hotchkis swaybar installed. Loud shout out to Elco Chris AKA Kuruption of 80z Babiez CC for the help and direction on the whole front end install. Chris sat on the phone with me and talked me thru a few things on the re-installation of parts. Thanks big dog!! It was truly "Wrenchin time with Elco Warren" LOL! A lot of my pics I took were lost. Bad media card :x . Here's what I got. These are from the Driverside...

Wack *ss spring compressor I rented from Autozone. This is some medevil torture yo *ss sh*t right here. This thing wouldnt grab correctly. I finally got it to work. I'm used to the compressor with the 4 hooks..

4546932243_c6e3e38ed5_b.jpg

Finally got it hooked in, and used my air tools to tighten it down. This is some DANGERUOS shiz! You must show MUCH respect to it, or end up pushin up daisy's...

A view from the bottom. This pic tripped me out. The tabs where I bolt the shocks in are wrong. All I did was take the lower A carms out and apply the chassis saver. I gues some sort of suspension work was done before I bought the SS 6 years ago. Its been corrected. I checked the set on my Elco. Looks good now..

Had to do a lil grinding on the passenger side upper A arm assy. The old set rubbed the Doug's ceramic coated headers pretty badly. I massaged it to where I wanted it, dropped the shimes back in and checked. Once I got the desired setup, I cleaned, primered and painted em up. Came out ok. My media card took a crap so this is the only pic I had...

Right here is where the old A arms rubbed the coating off

4547593700_ace9517fb3_b.jpg

Headers are coming off and getting re ceramic coated. Thats my suggestion to peeps. Get a raw finish. Dont pay for the manufactuers coating. Get all the fittiment issues worked out and then send em out for coating

Got my grind on and liked the end result..

I also cleaned, primered and painted up the calipers. Picked up some metal flake silver. Looks cool. I have new rotors, pads and wheels bearings. I'll add some braided hoses..Big brakes will come later. I'm rolling the stock 14's for a bit while I save some loot for some 3 piece wheels

I had some sweet angles of the Hotchkis swaybar setup, but lost the files. I'll snap some pics in the morn and upload em. All thats left is to do the brakes, add the nut codder (sp?) pins and regrease everything. Almost home. Feels good to turn my own wrenches and not some shop....

Thanks for lookin.

Thanks fam!! Just doin a couple hours a day on him. I got it this far. I dont know how to do front brakes, so I gotta wait on my bro to get back from camping. I probably could do it. Imma watch a few vids on utube and try to get things crackin in the morn. Im not gonna make it to the run today. Gotta get this car finished up. Runnin the lines for my coil spring airbags and greasing all the zirq fittings. Do a "final check" torque on all the nuts and put in the codder (sp?) pins. I might pickup some braided brake lines since its all apart... Got any hookups for tha braided lines?

I wish I went now. Tony called me, but my phone was on silent. I was cleaning up my boys garage and yard where my SS is. Did a lil work and cleanup on the undercarriage. Nothin major. I found a sweet thread on this other board I checkout for a braided hose setup. I wanna get him on the raod tomorrow and might wait and do the braided setup next month..

I did a lil work today. Got the codder pins in and greased all the fittings up. Hotchkis Sway bar is in also. Brakes first thing in the morning. I wanted to get some braided lines goin, but I can do that later when I move in the new spot. This thing has been waaaaay past its bedtime. Time to get him back on the road...
