SWEET! Yeah bruh. I was gonna get the adjustable set just to be able to say I had em, but went with the regular set for now.. I almost spent all that loot on the Hotchkis adj. set. Glad I didnt. These look sweet. The welds could have been cleaner, but I cant complain. I should have went with gloss black also. I was thinking more anodized black. Mine look like aluminum. These will make there way into my Elco one day. Time frame from order to my door was 15 daysi think I'm cleaning the rear under carriage up and rolling on some "Chassis Saver" After it dries Im installing the arms and running the lines for the airbag kit. Havent done much on the old guy this week. Im off from work today and will be working on my cowl hood for the Elco. Trying to get as much done before the G-Body run. My ride wont be shiz compared to all the clean *ss Gbody's that will be out. I'll get there soon. Im learning a ton about bodywork. Summertime I should have the exterior done. Im doin waaaay too much custom stuff. Its holding the exterior up. Let ol boy know that the arms look sweet. Cant wait to get em installed saturday. I want to send him my front upper/lower arms so he can powdercoat em the same finish and press some red bushing in...Gotta get busy. Time is running out!

Re: 87 SS

Nice ride thats some great looking control arms I went with spohn on my ride, and I got the tubular spohn front lower control arms too with gbodyparts upper's, when I removed my coils on the front with the weight off the suspension I chained the coil to the lower control arm and popped it with a long crow bar just don't leave too much slack in the chain and trust me if you cant reach in there and wiggle around the coil it still has tension in there, wish I took pics of all the suspension work on my cutty but I stripped it to put it in my 79 pontiac wagon (not in yet, will take pic's then) FYI I went with gloss black with the red bushings looks good, but then again yours do too 😀 Oh yeah to install I used a single action coil compressor, but I was sweating and nervous the whole time 😀

I really appreciate the comment and you lookin thru the thread. Gettin there slowly but surely.. 8) All the parts are just mocked up to see how well it all flows together. Now that I have the basic layout and scheme of things, Im pullin it all apart and getting everything repolished up. I may even snatch my headers off and get em re-coated....

@19cutlass79: Hit me up when you get some pics or vid goin of it.I wanted the red Energy bushings, but that company said they didnt have enough demand for red. Sucks. I wanted the gloss black with red bushings also. Your setup sounds really sweet.

I got the driverside torn all the way down. With the cars front and rear on jack stands, the front is hangin pretty low. The spring wasnt compressed too much more. I placed my floor jack under the lower control arm and raised the arm up a little. Then I knocked the c pin out of the nut and lossened it a lil. I used my pickle fork to separate the parts and..POP! It separated. Then I jacked the arm up a lil more and took the nut off. I let the jack down slowly and the spring dropped down. It barely had any tension on it. Then I turned the spring out of the perch and that was it. Ran out of light. I'll get on the passenger side in the morning. I left the upper control arm in for now. I want to mark the shims and bag em up so I can get things as close as possible before I get it aligned. The control arms will be send out to get powder coated and some red energy bushing pressed in. This stuff is fun. LOL! Seriously. Nothin better than workin on your own ride.

Me tryin to play auto mechanic...
