warren,
I need feed back about your wheels wells,,

Did you like them clear black ?
i am in the middle of painting my whole ride, should i go matt finish or clear black, i need some feed back how you like ur wheel wells

I wouldnt go with a shiny wet black unless its your thing. Satin black looks more oem and clean looking (to me at least). I did my window cowl in satin. Came our really nice. The shiny wet black looks cool, but I wanted it more oem looking. When I redo it with the whole front off, I'll do a satin finish. Also with satin black, you can hide any imperfections that will show up with the shiny finish. Take your time on painting em also. Thoroughly clean the surface. Another thing is to practice your spray pattern on something. Buy a cheapy can and just practice. I used a 50% overlap. Keep the can moving! Keep the can moving! Dont sit in one spot. Thats how runs happen. I stayed right around 8" from the well. I did a whole lil vid thing on the steps I did from start to finish on utube...Im new to this also, but if you need some help just hit me up. Id roll thru if I was out there bruh. I used all rustolium products cuz that what Autozone had. Cleanin supplies came from Ace Hardware-Acetone (I only used it on the metal parts), Denatured alcohol, mineral spirits.

Click pic below for vid on how I did the wells

Hope this helps fam..
Thanks for checkin back...Imma hit you thread up now..

Few more pics. Comin together nicely. I was sending my ac delete plate out to be chromed and then powder coated black. I want the bowtie to stay chrome, and then mold the delete plate into the firewall. But I'll wait on it. I want to take the motor out to do that. But a nice coat of rustolium will do for now...

Taped the plate off again and cleaned with acetone. Then sprayed 3 light coats of primer. Lettin it dry til the morning. Then 400 gtri and some filler primer. Sand up to 2000 grit and a coat of high temp black and hight temp then clear. Good for now...

I let the redish "Sandable Primer" sit overnight and hit it with 320 dry, 400 dry. Cleaned it with some denatured alcohol and layed some "Filler Primer" down. 2 light coats of the grey filler to fill in any small scratches. I hit it with 800 dry then 800 wet and 1000 wet. I'll let it dry out and see how the finish looks. I have some 1500 and 2000 grit 3m sandpaper soakin. The water just flows right off the primer. Really smooth. I might hit it with those and then paint. This is all just practice for me...

I should have it sprayed tomorrow afternoon. The weather is perfect. 2 coats of high temp black. Then some high temp clear and let it dry. It will be cool for now until I can get the loot together and get it chromed and powdercoated the way I want.. Thanks for looking..

GBODY OF tHE MOntH!!!!!

Not on a ride with anything over an 18" wheel. lol

Just need to get this front fuel bowl taken care of and I can fire the old guy up. I stripped the inlet threads pretty badly. A new bowl cost like $30. I can swap all the parts over or take it to a local shop and have them go thru the whole carb.

Got the wires ran for the the cutout kit. I just need to wrap em and add some wire loom..They work sweet! Cant wait to fire him up and hit the switch..

The old guy is just sittin on jack stands for now. All the attention is goin to the Elco right now. Imma drop the carb off in the morning. Should have it back by friday. I got a cheapy lil fuel filter and ran some rubber fuel line from the fuel pump for now. I want another metal fuel line bent. Liked the way the other line looked when polished up....
