Ok. Took the battery up to Autozone (my fave place to be in the whole world) to get it tested out. Ive never had a red top go bad but this one has been beat to sh*t pretty badly. The clerk said it was still under warranty and if the readings came back bad, they'd just replace it. Cool. I still have my original red top from 7 years ago. Imma throw a slow trickle charge on it and then keep a "battery tender" on it until I get the second alt installed for the sounds. Got the brakes bled and can pull him out and swang him around the cul-de-sac right quick. I need to button up the GNS digital tails and get him "smogged" and registered before taking him all the way out... One of the homies came over to check it out. When I fired him up he was like damn!! Sounds beefy!!! Nice idle, nice exhaust note. For a lil drop in crate, it works. Headed out to the "shop" to do a lil work on him now....

Got the brakes bled and flushed the systyem out. Nice and clean clear fluid now. Nice pedal feel. Finished up the hid install. Just need to adjust the buckets and Im good...

Added the painless highbeam kit. and can run quads. Not needed for HID's. They light up the road plenty. This will be more for shows. Im doing a lower HID foglight project right now so I can really shine on some haterz

Working on that wack *ss wiring the last shop did. Its a rats nest under there. Imma just bundle up and zip tie things out the way for now. I have another dash thats going to be wrapped in a month. I'll cut all the wires to the correct sizing and really clean thing up when I get the dash back....

Thanks bruh!! It was a test sort of. I blacked out the polished ac delete plate and left the bowtie polished to see if I liked the look. I wanted the bowtie to look like its floating there. I think it worked. Now Im goin to chrome it and tape the bowtie off. Then mold the plate in with the fire wall and fill in all the factory dimples and stuff. Totally smooth the firewall. I'll have to pull the motor to do that. I also need to get the heater setup and run the hoses how I want em first. Then I can move forward. Preciate the love. For a "homegrown" job, its cool...

Shhhhh. Dont tell but I bent a corner or two in the SS earlier. Felt good!!!! Just in the hood right quick cuz I had no tails installed and the trunk wasnt shut. Got a vid im editing...

Cleaning up the wiring under the dash in the morning and installing the High beam hid setup on the Elco. Gotta talk to my smog guy and get the old guy on the road now. That lil taste of a run got me fired up!!

Thanks bruh! A lil shiny, but thats what I was goin for. I should have him ready for a road trip in a lil bit. Smog, tags and I need to check into a couple things. When sitting in idle for a lil while, the temp will rise up to 204. Then the fans kick on and drop the temp down to 185 and shut off. Im not sure what thermostat in under that waterneck. Imma change it out. I need to read up on the digital panels water temp sending unit. The part with the wax looking core and a tip sticking out of it for the wiring. It sits down in the intake. Thats what is telling the fans to come on at 204 and shut off at 185 I'm guessing. There has to be some way to adjust that. That old shop didnt even look thru the boxes to see all the gear and harware that came with the system. The trip out there in the SS was perfect. Temp stayed under 185 and the fans never even kicked on. Thats why Im thinking theres something not setup correctly. I'll look into it and tackle it before the next AZ run :wink:

Well I feel like a bonehead. I started tracing wires and stuff for the fans. I came up on the painless kit I was told was part of the headlight. Nope. Its the electric fan relay and power. WOW! Well i followed the wiring up to the driverside head. Thats the sending unit I was looking for. They have a higher sending unit installed. 200 or so on and 185 off. Imma hit napa up and get a 195 on and 180 off. Thats why its so important to know your vehicle. When I head out to AZ to break the 8.5 G national rear in, me and the fellas are gonna tear the front apart and go thru it all. I need to know what this shop did as far as the wiring goes. Its a mess under the dash. Imma clean it up with zip ties for now and when I drop my other dash in, thats when I'll cut and run em clean. Well cleaner than whats under there now...Scary. Took him up and down the street right quick...

Thanks fam! Yeah doin a lil on each car a day. That way I dont get burned out. Workin nights is cool cuz I have all day to do stuff. But man I wanna hit the bed but cant! Gotta head back to work. LOL! Gotta finish up a few lil interior projects and the get him registered and road test him again. I havent broken the rear end in yet This wiring stuff that old shop did is scary man. I'll clean it all up. No rush. Take my time and get it done the way I want..
