This is a 87 Monte SS that myself and about 4 others spent a whole year getting right. The car has had a Magnum rear conversion, all from scratch, suicide-lambo doors, suicide hood, back-halfed and bagged to lay frame on 22x13's on the rear, floor was completely cut out and re-fabbed to be flat for wood floors, sheetmetal dash with 22" monitor and two 7's for the gauges, shaved steering colum(yeah it spelled wrong), roll cage, motorized rear hatch, 20" in the hatch with Xbox360 controllers flushed in, custom headlights, custom grill, x large magnum power sunroof, sheetmetal body kit, funtional exhaust flushed into the rear lower quarters, custom sheetmetal rear bumber(we made it 2" shorter), custom tank with fuel filler on the upper driver's side rear quarter, and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember at the moment. Total cost of this build was $130,000.

gimme a break. thats doing sh*t with originality, not all these black and maroon pieces driving around. atleast this guy did something with class and with his own idea.

i wouldnt really call that destroying a car............

at least my car DRIVES. thats a gaudy, useless, overdone, wannabe, piece of crap. and no its not original, it's the same stupid crap i see everywhere. i won't belittle them for the effort and the fabrication, but i want a car to be a car. not an entertainment center.

i love G-bodies yes your right and yeah i would appreicate this car if it was in the scrap yard that would make me happy. looks like sh*t and a good waste of 130,000 dollars next time you want to waste your money like that send me a check and i will actually use the money to make a real car

This from a guy who's daily driver is a Taurus, the car that screams"I've given up on all my hopes and dreams". What would be a real car? Are you saying a Monte SS isn't a real car? I"m sure all the guy on this forum would disagree. All the typical cars have been built to death, are there any new ways to see a 69 Camaro? Or an old Mopar? Show me another G body that's been converted like this. And as for the second quote, what does it wanna be? What do you see everywhere? Some guy with a few TVs? I'm sorry, we couldn't come up with something as original as a regular SS with a 383, because none of us have ever seen that combo before.

The car was built as a driver, we were fortunate enough to convince the guy to let us show it for a year before he did so. The car has took 1st place in every catagory its been entered in. You guys who flame are tools who can't afford to make a "real car" yourself. Personaly, I love to hear people talk sh*t, hate it as much as you want, but it makes you feel something. So I win either way. You guys sound just like the guys who take second behind us at all the shows. For the guys are aren't trying to justify your piece of sh*t by flaming mine, thanks, the love is greaty appreciated.

Not really a good shot to tell what it looks like overall, all the pictures have myspace angles. It kind of looks alright, but i hope you didnt use a clean SS to build off.

The project started because we gutted the interior to redo everything. Upon pulling the carpet, we found the floors were rotted pretty bad, which was a shock because the underside looked ok, but it was just a shitload of rustproof layered on more layers to hide what was under there. once we started cutting out the floor, one idea lead to another and before you know it, we rebuilt the entire car. The only thing left stock on there with absolutly no mods are the a-pillars.
